MyDOG

MyDOG 2012

We will kick off the Swedish Dog Year 2012 with two international shows in top surroundings at Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg!

Thursday / Saturday the 5th and 7th of January, and
Friday / Sunday the 6th and 8th of January
it's time for the first double International shows of the year.

Note that these are two separate shows held during two days in a row and that you need to send a separate entry to both shows. Given that the dog has the correct pre-qualifications it's possible to finish both Swedish and International Championships.

We have continued the work to improve the show surroundings even more, which means that at the 2012 show there are carpets in each ring, refreshments at the collection rings where the prejudging of the finals is done and the information is placed in a more visible way which makes it easier to navigate through the premises. We will also this year have the entrances close to the veterinary checks in and we will place extra information spots closer to them.

MyDOG is on top of the two International shows also an extensive commercial show where one can find the most that can interest a dog enthusiast - an Activity Market where different dog related activities will be held on daily basis, shows of specially trained dogs in the Main Ring from the morning until the beginning of the Finals and Breed stands where the most of our common dog breeds will be represented. There will also be held a daily Breed Parade, where different Breed Clubs will have a possibility to show their own breed with a small presentation.

MyDOG is a co-operation between Västra Kennelklubben and Svenska Mässan.

Gothenburg will soon have the largest fully integrated hotel, exhibition and conference facility in Europe now that it has been decided to add a third, even taller tower to Hotel Gothia Towers and extend the hotel's original East Tower. The new tower and the extension, which is slated to be ready in the second half of 2014, will increase the number of rooms by more than 500 to a total of 1,200.

Gothenburg is the friendliest city in Sweden. There is always something going on and the city is small enough and big enough at the same time. Read more about different hotels, restaurants, events and much more.

We are proud that people from all parts of the world choose the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers to meet, work, do business, grow relationships, develop products and ideas, eat well and overnight in comfort. We have been in business for over 90 years and our aim is to retain the leading position resulting from our commitment to the environment and the community.
